Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Beyond the funding for research, individual breast cancer patients and their families have financial needs that are greatly impacted with the cancer diagnosis and treatments. The Miriam B. White Foundation provides financial assistance to breast cancer patients through payment of rent/mortgage, utility bills and medical bills. Through this financial assistance, it is the hope that some of the stress caused from financial burden will be eased and allow the patient to focus on healing.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Financial Assistance Program
Our project goal each year is to raise at least $10,000 for the Miriam B White Foundation’s Patient Assistance Program. The Miriam B. White Foundation’s biggest challenge for 2012 will be to directly interact with those individuals who are battling breast cancer and assist them with their basic human needs through financial assistance.
Tattoo Gift Program
In 2017 the Miriam B. White Foundation established the Tattoo Gift Program in collaboration with a talented tattoo artist. This gifting program provides women that have undergone uni/bilateral mastectomies with 3D nipple tattoos. This gift is the final leg of a long journey for these women and restores their sense of womanhood and self-confidence.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to relieve some of the financial stress breast cancer patients and their family endure during treatment so they may focus on healing.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Ongoing social media presence is essential for expanding our mission. In 2017, we have established a fund for post-mastectomy 3D nipple tattoos in hopes of helping the breast cancer survivor regain some confidence and femininity.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We, as the board of directors, participate in a annual meeting where we set realistic goals for the ensuing year, meet monthly and review these goals and our progress towards attainment. As our goals are realistic, we have been successful in meeting our annual goals year-over-year.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have successfully established the Financial Assistance Program, manage the ongoing operations of this program, and continue to collaborate with health care personnel to reach those patients in need.
We have not accomplished an ongoing board development and recruitment program.
