Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our organizational goals are to create Kindness Awareness globally, provide Kindness Education programs to youth, and to provide Kindness Scholarships for higher education.
The Kindness Awareness Program tracks good deeds through T.R.A.K and allows participants to watch as one kind action multiplies into a global movement of love and community.
The Kindness Education Program, brought to you by The Honey Foundation, teachs students the importance of BEEing kind by instilling basic life skills including self-esteem, confidence, positive communication, positive thinking, leadership, philanthropy and community.
The Kindness Scholarship Program provides financial assistance for higher education to individuals who demonstrate leadership skills in promoting kindness in the community. Our scholarships are provided to students who are underprivileged and need additional financial assistance to cover their higher education costs.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategy regarding our Kindness Awareness Program include using the T.R.A.K software at www.honeyfoundation.org to allow individuals to pay it forward.
When you sign up for a Honeybee ID, you're joining a global colony of do-gooders who prove daily that no matter how big the problems of the world may seem, any one of us can make a difference. All we have to do is take the time to show love, appreciation, and kindness to others.
Take a moment to do something kind for a stranger, give them a Honey Foundation sticker, card, or pen with your ID on it, ask them to visit the site, and pay the good deed forward.
With your Honeybee ID, your newly recruited New-Bee can register your kindness under Record a Deed, then sign up to join your Beehive, and the honey spreads! It's that simple!
Our strategy regarding the Kindness Education Program includes contacting and meeting with educational professionals to present and discuss implementing the program at their schools. Our strategy targets schools who serve at-risk and underprivileged youth, focusing on Title 1 schools nationally with a current emphasis in Arizona.
Our strategy for Kindness Scholarships includes recognizing scholars who demonstrate leadership and philanthropy in their communities and have a financial need. The scholarship application is available to scholars who would like to apply via www.honeyfoundation.org.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our organization's capabilities for meeting our goals include our T.R.A.K'ing software which can be found at www.honeyfoundation.org, a curriculum for each set of grade levels with lessons that include content, pictures, videos and activities to be taught over the course of 9 months. The grade level sets include: Preschool, K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th-8th, and 9th-12th. And the Kindness Scholarship application is available at our website.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have accomplished creating kindness awareness globally as well as served over 2500 students through Kindness Education, and we have provided higher education scholarships to four individuals. We've been successful in reaching the Arizona community.
What we haven't accomplished is growing The Honey Foundation into a self sustainable non-profit with a full-time Executive Director, Development Director, and an Administrative Assistant. We have not accomplished receiving operational and program support through grant and corporate funding.
