Empowering Heroes and Communities
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Go Heroes envisions a future in which first responders and military members have an expectation upon leaving the service to return to their communities and continue serving in times of need; and in that same future Go Heroes envisions that first responders and veterans often need assistance in this transition. To accomplish this vision, Go Heroes has set out to build an organized, trained, and equipped volunteer team in several communities across the country.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Career Development
Go Heroes helps veterans, first responders, and other heroes in their career searches. We believe that these individuals have made sacrifices to serve and protect our communities, and we are committed to helping them succeed in their careers.
Our career development program offers a range of services to help heroes identify and pursue their career goals. These services include resume writing assistance, job search support, and mentorship from experienced professionals. We work with heroes to identify their strengths, skills, and interests, and we help them develop a plan to achieve their career goals.
In addition to one-on-one support, we also offer a range of resources and training opportunities to help heroes build their skills and confidence. These may include workshops on resume writing, job search strategies, and networking, as well as access to online resources and job search tools.
Business Accelerator

Our business accelerator program offers a range of resources and support to help entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses. These resources include access to mentorship and coaching, business planning assistance, networking opportunities, and access to funding and investment resources.
While we welcome entrepreneurs of all kinds to participate in our business accelerator program, we are particularly committed to supporting first responders, veterans, and other heroes. We offer discounted rates and additional resources to these individuals, as we believe that they have made sacrifices to serve and protect our communities and deserve our support.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Heroes in Action is an all volunteer non-profit that engages in community projects and events for the benefit of police officers, firefighters and veterans.
Our goal is to hold one of our hero related events in each state by 2025. These events will help us fund our programs that provide professional development and career assistance to police officers, firefighters and veterans.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Being founded by former military and first responders, Go Heroes has adopted the FEMA NIMS standard and this has provided our organization and volunteers a level of professionalism and the ability to communicate and interact with federal, state, and county agencies in a manner that many other nonprofits are not.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Go Heroes leverages the skills and experience of our volunteers to provide a range of direct services including but not limited to: fiscal sponsorship, disaster preparedness, and career transition.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
At Go Heroes our work is never done. As long as there are veterans and first responders with a desire to serve and communities in need we will stay focused on our mission.
