What we aim to solve
Pediatric cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death in children ages 5-14. Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with some form of cancer. The average age of a child diagnosed with cancer is 6. One in five children diagnosed with cancer in the United States will not survive. Only 4% of cancer research dollars are allocated to pediatric cancer. These are only a few of the staggering facts that Fabulous Faith's Foundation was formed to address. We are all too aware of these painful statistics and are committed to making a difference in the lives of families currently fighting this horrible disease and for all those who will have to fight it in the future.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our Foundation exists to raise funds to support the fight against pediatric cancer. We believe that there are many facets to the fight and that each child's journey is different. Once diagnosed, a child and their family are immediately immersed in a whole new world no child should have to face. Their lives go from everyday normal to pain, suffering, treatments, hospitals, surgeries, and endless doctor visits. Their lives will never be the same again as they have been robbed from the happy childhood they deserve. Our desire is to seek out opportunities that will support children and their families already undergoing treatment as well as those that will impact those children who will face a cancer diagnosis in the future. Our ultimate goal is to find a "cure" for childhood cancer and to eradicate it entirely from this world so that no child has to endure the effects of this disease.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Fabulous Faith's Foundation has adopted three main strategies to achieve our mission. We are committed to providing financial support for families of children that are undergoing treatment and struggling financially. We currently allocate 30% of our resources to our family assistance program. Secondly, our facilities assistance program supports facilities that treat and/or provide support to families of children diagnosed with pediatric cancer. These include hospitals as well as supporting organizations like the Ronald McDonald House. By providing funding to facilities, we make possible pivotal support that is crucial to either the child or their family as they are being treated. Finally, we know that the most important thing our organization can do is to support important research on not only finding a cure but discovering important advancements in treatments, medicines and therapy that could have huge significance in a child's fight against cancer.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our foundation was formed in 2015 with a dream and a passion for being able to provide the support that we have explained above. We outlined our mission, goals and strategies and then defined the activities necessary to execute our strategies. We began with a major fundraiser and were extremely successful in raising a considerable amount of money for a fledgling organization of our type and promptly donated every cent to a major children's hospital oncology unit. We quickly realized that in order for us to provide continuous support, it would be necessary to identify and establish ongoing fundraising efforts. We have expanded our fundraising programs to include a variety of ongoing and annual activities. We have a formed a considerable online presence and provide numerous opportunities for donors to partner with us. We have partnered with several organizations to leverage their giving campaigns to benefit our foundation. For example, we are registered with the Combined Federal Campaign, North Texas Giving Day, Amazon Smiles, Allstate, and Target to name a few. We are continually focusing on efforts to identify, develop and promote opportunities for donors and sponsorship in this important work.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In the 5+ years we have been in operation, we have raised more than $94,000 from fundraising efforts and generous contributions. We have provided $11,800 in Family Assistance Grants and $39,536 in Facility Assistance Grants. Additionally, we have donated $14,000 to various research projects in Texas, Seattle, and California. We have made a commitment to keep the majority of the funds, (70%) we raise here in North Texas. However, we believe that there are families and facilities all over the country that need support. Additionally, one of our fundamental pillars is supporting research and we feel it is essential to consider all pediatric research opportunities to support the advancements that are desperately needed. Fabulous Faith's Foundation will continue to increase our efforts to raise the most money possible to support the endless needs. We are committed and driven and have a dream to become the standard for pediatric cancer charities. It is our desire to make Fabulous Faith's Foundation synonymous with a premier organization recognized with making a huge impact on pediatric cancer.
