What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
ARK for Parents
A program to educate adults on how to become better skilled and more intentional at providing unconditional love to their children.
ARK for Teachers Pre k/Kindergarten
Program for Teachers to earn CEU credits Pre-K? Kindergarten. Teachers learn how to better relate to the students in their classrooms through small-group peer-mentoring groups or online.
ARK for Teens
A program just for Teens! This program deals with issues all teens face, providing them with new and challenging ways to relate to their parents and other teens.
ARK for KIDS
ARK for Kids provides instruction that reinforces a child’s awareness that they are special, valued and loved. It empowers children to feel capable of mastering their environment and helps them establish social skills for making friends and connecting with others. While providing techniques for coping with problems and conflict resolution, the program promotes positive life values such as honesty, empathy and compassion.
ARK for Prisons
Our volunteers visit Texas inmates with the purpose of sharing ARK for Parents. A.R.K. provides 10 weeks of parent training to those incarcerated. Upon release, they are equipped with the skills to better relate to their children.
ARK for Teachers ( Elementary)
ARK for Teachers helps schools implement an “empathetic teaching” model designed to build the student/teacher relationship through a process of intentionally extending unconditional love, care and respect to students — disciplining their behavior while still valuing them as persons. Empathetic teaching is distinctly different from authoritative teaching in that it places a much greater emphasis on the prevention of classroom misbehavior with the understanding that kids behave better and perform better for teachers they believe care about them.

ARK for College
ARK for College Students addresses common issues students face in a new college or university environment and mentors young adults on positive ways to navigate challenges in the classroom and in their social lives. The program also provides tools for students to develop relationships of care with fellow students and faculty.
ARK for Parents Spanish
One of the most difficult – and most important – jobs in the world is being a parent. Recognizing that caring parent/child relationships are essential to a child’s social-emotional identity, ARK for Parents and Caregivers teaches parents to apply the principle of unconditional love in an attentive parenting model that builds a child’s self-concept. ARK’s small group process allows parents to problem solve and peer-mentor together as they deal with common parenting issues, such as bully-proofing, anger management, setting boundaries, consequences and improved communication skills. The program is offered in both English and Spanish.
ARK for Christian Parents
The ARK for Christian Parents curriculum provides a Biblical view on parenting and applying the principles of unconditional love outlined in the Gospel when raising children. The program is designed to help parents relate to their kids in ways that build their self-concept as well as their social, emotional and spiritual health.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
To provide education to adults to enable them to provide stronger parenting and nurturing environments to provide better opportunities for kids to graduate from school and become contributing members of society.
The ARK Group's aim is to spread the message of unconditional love and to value a child for who he IS rather than for what he DOES. To teach/educate adults on how to discipline behavior while still valuing the worth of the child, showing that unconditional love builds high self-esteem and generates a positive self-concept in children.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Implementation of our various programs have happened -- in school districts, churches, neighborhood centers, Head-Start centers, Harris County Juvenile Justice programs, and community centers. Parents, teens, teachers, and counselors participate in ARK for Parents, ARK for Teens, ARK for Schools and/or ARK for Prisons where they are able to learn better parenting skills.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The ARK Group has program material (manuals, video lessons, study guides, and facilitator training) ready to be taught to interested parents.
Our staff and volunteers include teachers, counselors, educators, business men and women with a passion to share the message of unconditional love and care for/to others.
