Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Urban Beekeeping
Our Urban Beekeeping program allows people to purchase or rent-to-own beehives. Bee Found will send experienced beeks to help the new beekeeper gain experience.
Host a Hive
If you have vacant land, you can easily help to bolster the local bee population by hosting hives on your property. Not only will you help local pollination, but you will also receive free honey once it's harvested from the hives.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We want to bolster the local bee population by ensuring that our colonies are not treated with dangerous chemicals. This will force the bees to deal with mites and diseases as nature intended, in turn making them stronger and passing on these genes to their offspring and making the area bee populations stronger.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
The main strategy is building our customer base so that they can learn the benefits of treatment free beekeeping. We do this by social media outreach as well as reaching out to area beekeepers and beekeeping organizations to gain customers and supporters.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a access to a full workshop to build the hives. What we normally wait on is the build up of existing hives to be able to split them into new hives that will be used for the host-a-hive program, hive rentals and purchases.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We haven't yet gotten customers for rentals, but that's because our existing stock isn't large enough to split. Plus we have to wait till spring to see what we have to work with.
