Novo Ministries, Inc.
HOPE changes everything!
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Novo exists for the child without HOPE. The child living in poverty. The child with no support systems. The child that is statistically more likely to go to jail than graduate high school. The child who is growing up without the opportunity of knowing they are loved by their Creator and that He wants a relationship with them.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Training
Our training is designed to equip individuals to work effectively with boys and girls in need. Fear, lack of training, or even just ignorance can all be reasons the Church does not engage communities. We acknowledge this, then work to remove the fear factor, and offer training through education to the individuals and partnering organizations and churches.
Volunteers and Partnerships
We have established partnerships with local churches and other nonprofit organizations in order to maximize reach and impact across the city. Programs include tutoring, after-school programs, Bible Clubs, summer day camps, mission trips, church-based programs, and more! We support all of our partners at no cost to them. We also recruit volunteers to work both at programs and behind the scenes in our office to prepare supplies for programs. We exist to support and empower faithful, caring individuals to respond to their callings to change young lives.
Program Support, Consultation, and Facilitation
We work with community-based partners – churches and nonprofits – to provide mentoring opportunities and programs in communities in need all around the greater Oklahoma City area. All programming we support creates an environment that presents positive values to boys and girls, connecting them with healthy role models, instilling in them a moral lifestyle, and training them to serve others. Sites include public elementary schools, community centers, housing projects, churches, and apartment complexes. Every day, boys and girls face negative influences and deal with incredible challenges. Our goal is to set a good example for these children and encourage them to make the right choices. Our program evaluation and outcome measurement processes help us stay on track and help us quantify the impact.
Curriculum and Resource Development
The curriculum we develop is values-based, relevant to boys and girls in need, economical, and simple to implement. We also develop extensive supporting visuals and resources to complement our curriculum. The curriculum and supporting resources are available online on our website, free of charge.
