What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Shelter and Housing Services
Shelter and Housing Services include...
SAVE's Safe House, in a confidential location, offers families fleeing abuse case management, peer counseling, therapy, children's services, and access to food, clothing, and other basic needs. This program helps individuals and families heal and move toward safe and independent lives. Case managers work diligently with clients to ensure they have safe housing after their SAVE shelter stay concludes. In 2022-2023, 7,442 nights were provided to 89 women and children survivors at the Safe House.
SAVE's Housing First Program offers rental assistance and support services to survivors and their children as they move toward safety and stability. Our advocates provide ongoing case management to help survivors obtain and maintain safe long-term housing. The road to stable, independent living can be a long one. SAVE is here to help eliminate barriers along the way. In 2022-2023, 80 families were provided with rent subsidies and ongoing case management
Community Education Services
Our Community Education Program conducts...
40-Hour DV Counselor Training as well as provides education and engagement opportunities for community members who seek to learn more about intimate partner violence.
Our Youth Services Project empowers young people through inclusive education, support, and resources. Our approach is youth-centric, strength-based, and trauma-informed. We take a bold approach by challenging adultism and using our adult privilege to connect youth to vital resources. We engage youth in teen dating violence prevention and education, advocate for healthy relationships and healthy communities, allow youth to heal from trauma, and engage them in interconnected forms of social justice with their leadership. In 2022-2023, 2,117 youth and allies were reached with Youth Services Projects prevention presentations.
Crisis Response Services
SAVE's Crisis Response Services include...
In 2022-2023, SAVE's 24-hour Crisis Line received 2,962 calls answered by trained advocates who offer emotional support, referrals, and crisis intervention. Calls can be conducted in more than 300 languages through a 24/7 interpretation service.
Our Walk-In Services center, the Empowerment Center, provides easy access to our comprehensive services. Survivors receive immediate peer counseling, case management, emergency safety planning, and supplies, such as food and clothing. In 2022-2023, 400+ survivors visited our Empowerment Center and received support.
We also offer temporary restraining order assistance and court accompaniment for survivors facing legal issues.
