What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Hospice Care Services
Providing specialized end-of-life care that includes pain and symptom management, medical care, counseling, and personal care, in patients’ home of choice and residential care facilities.
Grief and Loss Counseling Services
Individual and group counseling for adults, children and teens in the community who have lost a loved one. By the Bay Camp, an annual residential grief camp, is offered free of charge to help children and teens who are coping with the death of a loved one.
Palliative Care
Palliative Care, often called "Comfort Care", is designed to relieve the symptoms and stress of living with a life-limiting or chronic serious illness, thus improving quality of life. Palliative Care is not dependent on a terminal diagnosis, so patients may begin or continue curative treatments while under Palliative Care.
Pediatric Care
By The Bay Health's Pediatric Care Program provides palliative (comfort) care and hospice care to infants, children, and teens, coping with chronic, serious, or life-limiting health conditions. Branded as "By the Bay Kids", our in-home pediatric services are designed to make these young patients as comfortable as possible, and to provide practical and emotional support to the families and caregivers.
By the Bay Kids Camp, Annual grief camp for kids
A free residential summer camp for children and teens who are coping with the loss of a loved one.
Grief Support
By the Bay Health supports children and adults who have experienced the loss of a significant person through individual and family counseling, group counseling, community crisis support and grief education, By the Bay Camp for grieving children and teens, and community Services of Remembrance.
