What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Rachael's Closet
Rachael’s Closet is an all volunteer program operated by the Ventura County Foster Parent Association. Rachael’s Closet allows the VCFPA to directly interact with foster children and foster and kinship care providers by allowing us to provide new and used clothing, shoes, back-packs, bedding, infant and toddler supplies, and toys to foster families in Ventura County through a central physical location in the City of Ventura. All of these items are provided free of charge so that we can help ensure that these families and children have the essentials that they need to succeed.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We aim to become the unifying voice and community leader of Foster Parents, Relative Care Providers, and Resource Families in our community. We intended to advocate, partner, and represent our community to enable them to continue this difficult endeavor as well as become better at what they do.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We have strategic plans that include the expansion of Services for our Rachael's Closet Program as well as are current documenting a clearly defined advocacy program that will be implemented in 2016 to support our community and their needs.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have the right people, we have the right passion, we have the right community. We need the funds to enable this to happen.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
All strategic plans are either developed or in development and expected to be completed by 12/2016. We have already developed the implementation plan for these programs and are currently working with key team members on final details.
