Professional & Family Services
Patient and family services: Helpline, Care Consultation, Support Groups, Bereavement Program, Respite Care Assistance, Safe Return. Education and awareness: Annual education conference, seminars, physician outreach & education, public policy, professional training, lending library, interfaith outreach, speaker's bureau, community outreach and education. Memories in the Making Art Program
Adult Day Health Care/Community Based Adult Services
Offered Monday through Friday at either our Laguna Woods or Garden Grove locations. Care is based on individual need, the program provides supervised medical care that includes a multi-disciplinary assessment, an individualized plan of care, monitoring of vital signs and medications, physical, occupational or speech therapy, personal care services, dietary counseling, and psychological counseling. Transportation to and from the center, supervision, a light breakfast, lunch and snack, social work services and therapeutic activities are also included.
Enhanced Adult Day Care
Offered Monday through Friday at Acacia location in Garden Grove (soon to be offered at South County Adult Day Services). This program adds dementia programs during the Adult Day Care program for individuals who have been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. This program consists of small group activities with a ratio of one staff to five participants. Activities are designed to stimulate senses, wellness and memory.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Since 1982, Alzheimer’s Orange County has been Orange County’s center for Alzheimer’s resources. We are dedicated to providing quality care and support services to the thousands of residents of Orange County who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementia.
Our mission: To serve Orange County individuals with memory loss, frail seniors, and those that support them.
