What we aim to solve
Grief is universal and is a normal response after a loved one has died. However, few recognize the emotional and physiological effect. HealGrief educates that grief is normal, grief is not depression, suicide is never an option and a healthy grief recovery does exist.
We do so and provide a social support network and offer the tools and resources to guide one's journey with grief into a healthy grief recovery.

Online Programing
HealGrief.org is a social support network connecting grieving individuals to others while providing the tools and resources to guide one's journey with grief into a healthy post bereavement growth. Online programming includes no-fee virtual memorials, candle lighting gallery, virtual support groups, and a modern-day approach to community, to name a few.
Let's Talk Death
HealGrief.org utilizes the world of social media to support its online programming while educating and creating awareness around an inevitable life cycle. Through social media venues, such as Google and Facebook, to name a few. Through its program, Let's Talk Death, a vlog/podcast series, HealGrief normalizes the emotions of grief, takes the taboo out of death, and starts the conversation.
Our social media venues also provide our followers with inspiration and hope while stressing the need for community and support, empowering one’s journey with grief.
HealGrief calls attention to this life cycle by educating consumers, health care professionals and bereaved individuals about vital grief resources needed to enhance a healthy post bereavement growth during one's journey with grief.
Actively Moving Forward®, also known as AMF
Initially serving the 1 in every 3 grieving students, today Actively Moving Forward® is dedicated to supporting all adults grieving a death loss. This program takes a modern approach using app technology offering grieving individuals connections to others experiencing a similar death loss. Removing a sense of loneliness and isolation, individuals are heard and understood by others in a way our world now connects, digitally and 24/7.
Grief Sensitive Campus Initiative (GSCI)
Research confirms that 1 in every three college student is grieving a death loss. The Grief Sensitive Campus Initiative was created as a natural response to the needs of grieving students. AMF work with institutions nationwide to implement best grief sensitive practices to address the needs of students bereaved.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our commitment is to provide an understanding of grief by increasing universal awareness and education, while offering resources to support individuals through their journey with grief and provide a virtual platform to assist and facilitate a healthy grief recovery.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Actively Moving Forward (AMF), a HealGrief program connects and empowers grieving college students and young adults to "actively move forward" with community service in memory of their loved one. AMF has served thousands of young adults on hundres of campuses nationwide.
HealGrief.org, the website stays current with content and dynamic with technology. It remains the leader of information and is a complete virtual location offering everything needed to communicate a death and understand grief while mourning and celebrating a loved one's life.

HealGrief.org is the only site available today that offers the breadth, scope and functionality all within one virtual environment which provides bereaved individuals a virtual platform to transition their grief into a healthy grief recovery.
HealGrief.org seeks to remove the taboo regarding death by creating a conversation about an inevitable life cycle and to validate the feelings and emotions associated with bereavement. To remove the stigma and misconceptions about grief and have a more compassionate world that recognizes “time won't heal" and no one will “get over" the death of a loved one.
