Grant Making Process

Sewall Foundation supports 501(c)3 organizations working in the Foundation's areas of interest (Healthy People Healthy Places, and Animal Welfare) within the State of Maine.  The Foundation also funds a few select organizations, both inside and outside of Maine, that were supported by Elmina B. Sewall during her lifetime through its Legacy grant program.

The Foundation will consider requests for operating grants, project grants and capital grants as defined on its website.
The Foundation does not make grants for operating endowments or to individuals.

The Foundation follows a one-step, online grant application process.   Please refer to the Foundation's website at www.sewallfoundation.org(http://www.sewallfoundation.org) for detailed instructions regarding the specific application process and deadlines for submission.
