Ellen Hyde No-Interest Loans
Ellen Hyde graduated from the State Normal School at Framingham in 1862, taught in the school until 1875 and then became its principal until 1898. She was an inspiring teacher and a builder of character in her pupils. From her intimate knowledge of the struggle many students had to pay their way, she felt the need for a fund that could be used to help them and it was established in 1898.
This interest-free loan fund is administered by a Board of Trustees, elected by the alumni members of the Independent Association of Framingham State Alumni, and used to assist undergraduate and graduate students of Framingham State University.
