Aspire Early Intervention

Aspire’s primary focus is to provide Early Intervention services to children up to age 3. Population(s) Served

Aspire administers a grant from the Department of Public Health to provide home visits through the Early Support program. Early Support offers services and support to pregnant and post-partum women living in Lynn and surrounding communities who have social and environmental risk factors.
The program is a collaborative effort between Aspire, Lynn Community Health Center and Family and Children’s Services of Greater Lynn. The goal is to reduce infant mortality by early identification of maternal and infant risk and providing access to services in the community to prevent poor health and/or developmental outcomes. The Early Support Program team consists of a maternal and child health nurse, a mental health professional and a family liaison, and is representative of the cultural, linguistic, racial and ethnic diversity of the population served.

Population(s) Served

Aspire operates an early childhood educational program serving children aged 2 years 9 months to five years old.  It is a full day, full year preschool program in Lynn.   The preschool program welcomes all children including those with diverse abilities and needs.  Our goal is to recognize each child as individual with unique abilities and experiences and enhance that child’s development based on the child’s interests and abilities.  Curriculum and daily activities will address the social, cognitive, language and motor developmental needs of each child and will be adapted to meet individual needs.  We believe that children learn through play and are active learners.  The discoveries children make through play and daily activities are most meaningful to them, and so we strive to provide stimulating opportunities for children to make their own discoveries in a supportive and nurturing environment.
