Annual Scientific Meeting

The ASC holds an annual scientific meeting that cytopathologists, cytotechnologists and related corporate industry participate in each year. There are approximately 800 attendee and the continuing education program is held throughout the country.

Population(s) Served

The ASC Foundation is funding a Patient Advocacy Grant that is available to ASC members, patient advocacy groups and neighboring societies. Patient Advocacy Grant ($10,000), awarded annually, is for ongoing or new projects for advocacy efforts for effective screening programs for patients.

The ASC Foundation awards up to 10 qualified pathology residents, cytopathology fellows and cytotechnologists a $2,000 scholarship each to attend the ASC Annual Scientific Meeting. scholarship, based on need and merit, defrays registration, travel and hotel costs, and includes funding for three additional sessions (can include but not limited to workshops, panel luncheons, etc.), and per diem allowance.

Population(s) Served

The ASC Investigator Grant consists of a two-year $50,000 research grant with $25,000 paid annually to the successful applicant. The purpose of the grant is to contribute to the advancement of cytopathology research.
