Mission
Revels brings together people of all ages and backgrounds through musical and theatrical celebrations of our world’s cultural and seasonal traditions. Through a network of affiliates around the country, Revels combines artistic excellence with the lively participation of audience and volunteers in our performances and programs, inviting the communities we serve to join us, sparking appreciation and respect for the diverse world in which we live, and awakening a renewed sense of joy and connection.

Our programs

The Christmas Revels
Revels' signature program is the annual production of The Christmas Revels at Sanders Theater at Harvard University. This multi-cultural celebration of the winter solstice is performed 16 times for annual audiences of 18,000 people.
Revels Education
Revels offers programs in traditional folk songs, dance and stories. Programs include public school workshops, after school enrichement classes, and a variety of out of school workshops. Revels also provides weekly arts classes for home-schooled children.
RiverSing
Begun as a partnership with the Charles River Conservancy in 2004, Revels RiverSing is a participatory music event filled with music, magic, and songs celebrating the Autumnal Equinox and the splendor of the Charles River and its parklands. While puppets and whimsy may abound, the heart of RiverSing is singing and the joyful spirit that comes with it.
Spring Sing
An annual celebration of the vernal equinox held in March to officially welcome in the spring! Spring Sing features guest artists, Revels Singers, Children's Ensemble, and community singing.
