Information Center

Not sure what options are available to meet your needs or those of a loved one? The Information Center at Minuteman Senior Services is the right place to start.

Our caring and compassionate staff have extensive knowledge about the many services and programs available to meet a wide range of needs for older adults, people with disabilities, and family caregivers.

Population(s) Served

Sometimes, we all need a little help. Minuteman Senior Services can connect you with services or programs to assist with daily activities, helping you or a loved one remain at home.

Based on a comprehensive, in-home assessment, a Minuteman Care Manager creates a personalized plan to meet your needs, preferences, and available resources. Our Care Managers are expert problem-solvers who understand the challenges of daily living that many older adults, people with disabilities, and their family caregivers face. They have the expertise – and the compassion – to help you understand your options, secure services, or find an appropriate living situation.

Population(s) Served

Caring for a loved one, friend or neighbor can be challenging and stressful. Caregivers can become “burned out,” taking a toll on their own health and well-being, and impacting their ability to be an effective caregiver. Minuteman Senior Services can help, with programs designed to enhance quality of life for families and caregivers.

Population(s) Served

Having nutritious food every day is critically important for maintaining health as you age. Minuteman Senior Services can connect you with services to support healthy nutrition, while providing much-needed social connection. Through Meals on Wheels, five days a week we deliver hot meals to homebound older adults, along with a friendly visit and safety check. We host lunches at community-based locations where older adults can gather and socialize over a nutritious meal. Our Registered Dietitian is also available to help people learn how to eat healthy through individualized, in-home nutrition counseling and Medical Nutrition Therapy.

Population(s) Served

Minuteman Senior Services is designated by the Commonwealth to investigate reports of elder abuse in 16-town service area. Every person aged 60 or over living in the community who suffers physical or emotional injury, is neglected, or is financially exploited by a person(s) with whom he/she has an ongoing relationship, such as a relative, friend, or caregiver, is covered by the law.

Population(s) Served

Minuteman Senior Services provides free, unbiased health benefits information regarding Medicare through the SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) program. We help Medicare recipients, their beneficiaries, and their family caregivers understand and evaluate their health insurance options.

Population(s) Served

Minuteman Senior Services gives older adults the knowledge, protection, and supports needed to achieve financial security. Our Money Management counselors provide ongoing budgeting and bill paying support along with financial literacy education.

Population(s) Served

Minuteman Senior Services offers a range of free, evidence-based programs to help older adults stay healthy, both physically and emotionally. Programs address a variety of topics, including preventing falls, managing chronic diseases, and family caregiver wellness.

Population(s) Served
