Resident Services Coordination
Resident Services Coordinators (RSC) assist resident elderly individuals and persons with disabilities to obtain needed supportive services from community agencies. The full-time RSC will spend 50% of her time providing service coordination to residents (this includes time spent obtaining the appropriate continuing education training per HUD requirements). The RSC provides monthly benefit update and site information newsletters for all residents. She organizes at least two monthly health and education programs for the residents, including but not limited to: - Monthly Blood Pressure Screenings - Quarterly Podiatry Clinics - Transportation programs and assistance - Annual Fire Safety and Prevention program - Regular Health and Wellness Programming - Annual Senior Safety and Scam Awareness program - Annual Medicare Open Enrollment program $132,300 is funded through a HUD grant, $60,700 is funded through project operations
Davenport Dunbar Residences
Davenport Residences, Inc. provides affordable housing through the HUD 202 Program. Housing in this community is limited to households with a head or co-head of household who is aged 62 or older. Residents pay 30% of their adjusted gross income for rent and utilities with the balance of funds coming from a project based subsidy for Dunbar. Davenport residents pay a low contract rent which includes all utilities. The property created an in-house rental assistance program for residents at Davenport who pay in excess of 40% of their income for the contract rent.
Davenport Social Programming
Davenport Residences funds a social program department which consists of two Social Programmers who provide weekly programs that promote both social and cognitive engagement. It provides residents with a chance to interact which promotes emotional well being and community.
