Supportive Housing
My Sisters’ Place provides Supportive Housing for low-income individuals and families who were formerly homeless and unable to hold their own lease. Through the Mary Seymour Place Apartments and Sue Ann Shay Place Apartments, we are able to provide housing and support services for those who meet one or more of the following criteria: low income, living with a mental illness, and/or currently homeless.
Housing Coordination Programs
Housing Coordination programs include: Housing Mobility Counseling (which provides mobility counseling, landlord outreach, and housing search assistance for participants with Section 8 & Rental Assistance Program subsidies. Housing Mobility services target families with young children & have a strong emphasis on mobility moves from areas of very low & low opportunity to areas of high & very high opportunity), Young Adult Services (YAS) to youth who are aging out of the child welfare system, the Emergency Housing Assistance Funds (EHAF), Housing Coordination services for adults with serious and persistent psychiatric or co-occurring disorders including security deposits, rental subsidies & assistance, assistance in exploring, locating and securing housing, housing eligibility determination and subsidy re-certification, liaison activities between landlords & other service providers, education on tenants’ rights and finally 3 Rent Subsidy & Security Deposit programs.
