Emerging Leaders in Social Justice Initiative

This program provides stipends for developing a mentoring/support network throughout the year and a sponsored lunch at the annual conference. This opportunity will be offered to 5 Early Career Student AFTA members who have demonstrated a commitment to social justice, equity, and activism in systems and family therapy, and identify as part of diverse communities. This initiative represents shared AFTA and Family Process values of 1) dissemination of knowledge regarding theory, practice, and research; 2) career development to young practitioners and scholars; 3) advocacy for family and systems theory and practice; and 4) promoting a systemic approach to social justice issues.
