Tour of "The Art of Isadora" in China
Presented by Duncan Dance Academy, Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company made its debut in China with "The Art of Isadora” at Shenzhen Poly Theatre on December 4, 2016. Duncan Dance Academy is a partner school of the Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation, both of which are under the artistic direction of Lori Belilove. Duncan Dance is a required dance technique for ages 4-18 years at the Duncan Dance Academy, and currently Belilove is creating the first-ever comprehensive online video curriculum of Isadora Duncan Dance Technique.
Residency at Escola Contemporanea De Danca in Brazil
Through the Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation, Lori Belilove founded a Duncan affiliate school in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. The School Director, Fatima Suarez, has been a student of Belilove’s for decades and received the Foundation’s Certification to teach the Duncan technique. Suarez invites Belilove to Brazil for an annual teaching and performing residency during "The Journey of Dance in Bahia”, a festival that presents international artists to Brazilian audiences through a series of performances, workshops, and lectures. In 2015 Suarez and Belilove celebrated the 25th anniversary of the School.
Residency at The Isadora & Raymond Duncan Dance Research Center in Greece
Invited by Penelope Iliaskou, Director, The Duncan Dance Center, Lori Belilove offers the local and international community of dance students, teachers, and enthusiasts a creative and interactive workshop. At the Center, participants take daily classes in the Duncan technique. On select afternoons there are classes for children, followed by a teacher training session for approved teachers-in-training. On select evenings participants explore Duncan choreography to create new, collaborative movement studies and dances, culminating in an informal studio showcase at the end of the residency.
Summer Outdoor Performances at Old Westbury Gardens, Alice Austen House Museum, Battery Dance Festival, Untermyer Park, and Fort Tryon Park
Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company offers an outdoor performance series, three of which (Battery Dance Festival, Untermyer Park, and Fort Tryon Park) are free to the public. At Old Westbury Gardens, Lori Belilove creates a site-specific homage to the Gardens with her dancers using Greek mythology as thematic reference points for performances. At Alice Austen House, Belilove honors Isadora Duncan and Alice Austen, both 20 Century icons of freeman, in a program of dances choreographed at Duncan. At Fort Tryon Park, The Company offers a free children’s class series in partnership with Fort Tryon Park Trust and with support from EILEEN FISHER. The program culminates in a Company performance, with a pre-show of children from the Inwood neighborhood.
Residency at Randolph College
Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company is a regular visiting artist at Randolph College, where they teach ballet, modern dance, and Duncan repertory.
Workshop at The Ailey School

The residency includes an offering of classes for children and adults in the dance of Isadora Duncan, modern ballet, and studio space for Company rehearsals for upcoming performances.
