Mentathlete Corporation

Mentathlete Corporation focuses on three key areas of youth development: 1)Mentoring; 2)Academic support; 3)Sport rules/strategy/skill development

Population(s) Served

GPS (Goal Post Society) formally known as the MVP- Masters of Vision and Promise (males) and Marked for Virtue and Panache (females).  This is our school-based mentoring program which follows similar formatting of  the community based program outlined  below (People 4 Change). We are currently in operation in two Tampa area middle schools and growing!

Population(s) Served

Majors in Motion (M.I.M)- This program is geared towards our student athletes enrolled in the MVP or People 4 Change programs. M.I.M will focus on sport acumen (intelligence) and skill development. The program starts with football and basketball. Rules of interpretation, strategy,considerations, and position skill functions will  be taught. The tentative times are Tuesday's and Thursday's from 3:30pm to 5:30pm (subject to change).  The location will be at the NFL YET CNTR in Jackson Heights-Tampa. The first hour, the youth will be in a classroom setting for discussion on rules and strategies of the game;  the second hour, the youth will engage in skill drills and practice lecture material.
