What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
The Fund for American Studies brings students together from throughout the United States and around the world to learn about the economic and political principles that have given the US unprecedented freedom and prosperity. The Fund's programs educate over 700 students each year. These programs include six Institutes in Washington, DC, with fall and spring semester programs in addition to the summer programs. The Institutes consist of academic courses, internships, site briefings, and evening lectures at Georgetown University.
There are also 5 international programs - two in Prague, two in Greece, and one in Hong Kong. The Prague institutes focus on American politics, economics, and transitions to democracy; the Greece institutes focus on political theory, economics, and conflict resolution; and the Hong Kong institute focuses on the interaction between economics and politics, and how developments in one area inevitably influence the other.
