Support development of Vesper open-source software for facilitating avian nocturnal flight call detection & archiving. See: https: github.com HaroldMills Vesper. Number of persons benefited estimated to be 100+ and growing.

Began implementation and testing of the new Lower Rio Grande Valley acoustic monitoring transect. This is a reboot of the project originally carried out from 2000-2005 involving 10 high schools in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of south Texas. The 2023 project involved five high schools. The project is aiming to go public in spring 2025 with more than 1000 individuals served. See rgvnfc.org

Continued development and improvement of the 21c series of microphones designed for avian nocturnal flight call monitoring. Microphones of three different designs were deployed in different regions to test their weather proofing in different environments. 20 individuals and one field project were served in 2023. The resulting improvements will benefit others who use the microphone in the future.
