Innovative Classsroom Projects

The Escondido Education Foundation awards innovation grants to teachers within the Escondido Union School District each year. Applications are released in the fall, winning grants are announced in December, and the teachers carry out their projects in the spring semester.

Population(s) Served

The Escondido Youth Media Festival is a district-wide event designed to encourage K-8th grade students to submit excellent works in digital media (video, audio and still photography) to an event that promotes this work to the community, and indeed to the world.

Produced in partnership with the Escondido Union School District, the Festival uses an online system for submissions and judging. The showing and awards take place at the beautiful California Center for the Arts, Escondido near the end of the school year.
