Multiple Sclerosis Research Council
The Multiple Sclerosis Research Council (MSRC) was established in June, 2004, with a mission to develop and research models of comprehensive neurological care with a focus on wellness and education for persons with MS. The MSRC's first project was the construction of a comprehensive care center in south Louisiana; however, In August, 2005, the eye of Hurricane Katrina passed directly over the proposed site, completely destroying it and the surrounding area.
The MSRC has not yet begun to implement its program in Minnesota; however, funding efforts have continued and a patient education and learning center is in the process of being developed. This center will provide educational material to the public and individual educational services to persons with MS in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
