TO MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE IN EVERY STUDENT'S EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE BY PROVIDING AN AVENUE OF PARTICIPATION FOR THE PARENTS OF STUDENTS TO WORK WITH TEACHERS AND STAFF OF THE FUGMAN ELEMENTARY. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH GRANTS, EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES MADE POSSIBLE BY THE VOLUNTEERS' EFFORTS.

GRANTS: THE PARENT TEACHER CLUB (PTC) AWARDS GRANTS TO THE FUGMAN ELEMENTARY. THE AWARDING OF GRANTS BY THE PTC IS GENERALLY BASED ON REQUESTS MADE BY THE PRINCIPAL AND TEACHERS OF THE SCHOOL THROUGH A FORMAL PRESENTATION DESCRIBING THE NEED AND INTENDED USE OF THE FUNDS. SUBSEQUENTLY,THE PTC MEMEBERS REVIEW THE ELIGIBILITY AND ACCEPT OR REJECT THE PROPOSAL THROUGH A VOTING PROCESS.

ANNUAL MARLIN CARNIVAL & SILENT AUCTION: EACH YEAR THE PTC HOSTS ITS ANNUAL FAIR WHICH IS MADE POSSIBLE BY VOLUNTEERS, GENEROUS SPONSORS AND DONATIONS FROM FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. WITH AN APPROXIMATE STUDENT POPULATION OF 850 KIDS AT THE FUGMAN ELEMENTARY, THE FAIR DRAWS HUNDREDS OF LOCAL FAMILIES AROUND THE AREA. THE FUNDS RAISED BY THIS EVENT ARE USED TO AWARD GRANTS TO THE FUGMAN ELEMENTARY TO SUPPORT ACADEMIC & EXTRA CURRICULUR ACTIVITIES, TECHNOLOGY AND IMPROVEMENTS.
