BECAUSE NONE SURVIVE ALONE

aka LAWRENCE ANTHONY EARTH ORGANIZATION (LAEO)   |   Pine Mountain Club, CA   |  www.TheEarthOrganization.org

Mission

LAEO is an independent, science-based non profit that, through education and action, works to reverse the decay of the Plant and Animal Kingdoms and our environment. We find real solutions that work for all involved, and then get them implemented. Through raising awareness and the implementation of effective solutions, we help people increase their understanding that none of us survive alone - that all life does best when it works together with other life. This better connects everyone with the natural world, resulting in more constructive problem solving. As industry, governments, communities and individuals adopt this way of thinking and working, the world is better protected and restored.

Clean Water Program

Having adequate quantities of fresh water is a basic right of all life, and is, arguably, the world’s greatest environmental challenge. In 2015, we came across a science of water developed in the 1930’s that, from our research, has proven to be a solution. We are now working with experts in this field to fully codify and implement this cutting-edge technology that makes it possible to find and drill for abundant water resources. We currently have projects in the U.S., Australia and the Middle East and are developing projects in South Africa and Kenya.

Our founder, Lawrence Anthony, stated “If we don’t change humanity’s awareness of its vital partnership for survival with the natural world, we and all other charitable conservation groups are going to be saving the rhinos and saving the whales and saving the seals… until they are gone!” Through educational materials, workshops, and one-on-one briefings, LAEO is working to bring about a greater understanding that that all life does best when it works together with other life. We named this field Cooperative Ecology™, or CoEco™. As industry, governments, communities and individuals realize that all life, from microbes to humans, individually do best when they work towards the mutual survival of those they impact, the natural world is, then, better protected and restored.

Affiliated LAEO chapters in South Africa run two wildlife preserves. One, called Mayebuye (36,000 acres), has just been named a “Model Program for Wildlife Conservation and Economic Empowerment” by the South African government. While LAEO’s international headquarters in South Africa is spearheading this project, LAEO US is bringing in the missing component not included in the government funding: to solve the lack of fresh water for the local tribes and the wildlife. With additional funding, we will be training the local Zulus on how to create micro businesses to help bring fresh water to other nearby regions in need of fresh water.

Economically disadvantaged people

In 2010, during the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, we scientifically compared spill cleanup methods and found the most effective spill cleanup methods being used in over 20 countries. We are working to get these effective, non-toxic methods implemented throughout the oil and gas industry. For the first time, not only will they be fully cleaning up their spills, but they will also save millions to billions of dollars in the process. Through wide and on-going distribution to key industry leaders, our peer-reviewed research papers on this subject have played a crucial role in helping get the technology used in over 40 countries, as of this writing in 2016.
