THE PRIMARY MISSION IS TO HELP INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE BLIND, VISUALLY IMPAIRED OR DISABLED, IN THE GREATER DELAWARE VALLEY AREA, TO PREPARE FOR AND OBTAIN EMPLOYMENT IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE INDEPENDENCE.

THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA HAS DETERMINED THAT ALL LAWN MAINTENANCE SERVICES PROVIDED UNDER A REST AREA CONTRACT MUST BE PERFORMED BY BLIND OR DISABLED PERSONNEL. THE LABOR IS PERFORMED BY CBD AND BILLED TO KEYSTONE BLIND ASSOC. FOR CONTRACTS WITH THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA. 16 INDIVIDUALS WERE EMPLOYED DURING 2022, INCLUDING 10 who were DISABLED.

PHOTO LICENSE CENTERS PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT FOR PERSONS WITH A QUALIFYING DISABILITY UNDER THE TERMS OF ACT 57. THESE POSITIONS ARE PHOTO LICENSE TECHNICIAN DUTIES AT SELECT PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION LICENSING CENTERS. A TOTAL OF 21 INDIVIDUALS WERE EMPLOYED DURING 2022, INCLUDING 21 WHO WERE DISABLED.
