Mission

A 501C(3) charitable organization, Quantum Leap Healthcare Collaborative was established in 2005 as a collaboration between medical researchers at University of California, San Francisco and Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. Our mission is to integrate high-impact research with clinical processes and systems technology, resulting in improved data management and information systems, greater access to clinical trial matching and sponsorship, and greater benefit to providers, patients and researchers. Our goal is to improve and save lives. The founders of QLHC recognize that good ideas and research projects in a University setting were often “orphaned” at the end of a research project. I-SPY 2 Clinical Trial

I-SPY 2 Clinical Trial - I-SPY 2 TRIAL is a neoadjuvant clinical trial designed to test Phase II investigational agents in combination with standard chemotherapy in a curable patient population. By employing an innovative ‘adaptive trial design’–which uses patient outcomes to immediately inform treatment assignments for subsequent trial participants—I-SPY 2 can test new treatments in half the time, at a fraction of the cost and with significantly fewer participants.

Population(s) Served

BreastCancerTrials.org (BCT) is a non-profit service that encourages individuals affected by breast cancer to consider clinical trials as a routine option for care.
We do this by:
1) provide a database of clinical trials for individuals who are interested in breast cancer research. The list of the U.S-based trials can be found at the following websites ClinicalTrials.gov(http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/) and Cancer.gov(http://www.cancer.gov/);
2) provide accurate information about why clinical trials are important and how they are structure;
3) help researchers and site coordinators connect more efficiently with volunteers who are interested in their studies; and
4) help care providers and patient navigators find trials for patients.
