Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

2014 Goals

This year we plan to:
 Serve over 350,000 children and adults in Haiti
 Save an estimated 500 additional lives with our Bucket of Life systems
 Add new sales agents in target areas
 Integrate local pharmacies and shops in our distribution network

Deep Springs employs a 3-prong approach to the Water Crisis...

1 - Home Water Treatment

We treat water at the point of consumption to assure that it is safe to
drink. Even with a well or covered spring, water can become
contaminated during transport and/or storage in the home.

2 - Education

Water Technicians visit each home regularly to educate families about the dangers of unsafe water, the proper use of the Home Treatment Systems, and to monitor water quality.

3 - Enterprise Development

The goal of the Deep Springs approach is self-sustaining via
sales of affordable chlorine solution. Water Techs deliver free
systems to remote communities and then recover the cost via sales.

Deep Springs grew tenfold in 2010 and 2011 in response to the cholera epidemic and subsequent spike in demand for locally-produced chlorine to treat water by NGO partners. This reflects our flexibility and capability to scale-up quickly to meet public health needs.

GOAL: serve 4.5 million rural Haitians who lack clean drinking water

To Date: over 2,000,000 served
