What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

We address the lack of public knowledge of African Americans in establishing America's history. We promote the role of African Americans in the military from 1775 to 1951. We educate the public about the important role we played in gaining our independence and maintaining the rights and freedom for the citizens of this country. We served during a time we were not allowed to enjoy the same rights and freedom as American Citizens.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

To establish a year round traveling exhibit, our plan is to continue to grow the exhibit each year. The exhibit will cover all major wars from 1775 to 1951. In 2017 we purchase the travel trailer to house the exhibit, our goal is to add a vehicle to the inventory in 2 years.
The goal is to place the exhibit in different location around the southeast for at least a month at a time. We also would like to improve the a/v capabilities of the organization.

We have set dates for 2019 in the following locations.
Jacksonville City Hall – Black History Month
Atlanta, GA. -NAARVA Southern Region Camp Rally - March
Tallahassee, FL. – May Day Celebration
Jacksonville Main Library – June
Orlando, FL – Tom Joyner Family Reunion – September
North Charleston, SC. - ASALH's 2019 Conference – October
Ft Lauderdale, FL - African American Research Center and Library – November

Our membership is made up with military veterans from all branches of the service
We're in our 9th year and have expanded our exhibit foot print to included the state of Florida and cities in Georgia and South Carolina on a recurring basics.

In 2018 we finish the year with over 620 volunteer hours.
The exhibit was booked in the following cities
Sarasota, FL
Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Orlando, FL
Jacksonville, FL
Indianapolis, IN
We have been asked to give presentation at schools and Universities and the state. We have also been featured on community TV shows i.e. WJXT Morning News Show and River City Live
