Methodist Services for Children and Families

MSCF provides a continuum of care through a range of services designed to strengthen the family unit, advocate for equal access to resources, increase education and training for staff and clientele and build collaborative relationships within each of the communities served. Services currently provided by MSCF include: Campus Based School-Aged child care and Summer
Camp offering educational opportunities and activities to build literacy skills, self-esteem, and personal responsibility; Educare Learning Center for children 6 weeks to 6 years old, School-based After School Programs in seven schools in West Philadelphia and Kensington; Beacon Community Center that offers after school, family preservation, community empowerment and support services for the Kensington Community; Parenting collaborative that teaches life skills, behavioral management, communication skills and support services for parents; Adolescent Violence Reduction Program which is a communtiy based, violence prevention initiative through the Mayor's office what works with youth through the juvenile justice system providing youth worker support and services; IDP/HAPS family and indivuidual couseling combined with after school programming to prevent deliquency and Community Counseling Services which is an outreach program in Northeastern Pennsylvania serving Northampton, Leigh, monroe, Schuykill and Carbon counties through counseling and family support services.
