Art Exhibitions

Tubac Center of the Arts presents national and regional juried art exhibitions in varied themes and mediums throughout the season. TCA members have opportunities to exhibit in member only exhibitions. Partnerships with local organizations expand the programming beyond the center walls. The close proximity to Nogales, Arizona and Nogales, Sonora, MX has also allowed TCA to develop partnerships with key border-focused organizations.

Artists and performers

An annual program offering a series of eight or more performing artist groups. These performers bring a variety of musical and theatrical genres to the stage. This program brings high caliber performing artists to the Santa Cruz Valley enabling the residents to experience these performances without the need to travel great distances.

The youth education program offers opportunities for students ages kindergarten through high school. High school and middle school students have the opportunity to showcase their art in an annual exhibition open to the public. This exhibition offers awards for outstanding art as well as a scholarship for a graduating senior.

The summer program offers a month-long arts program for students ages from kindergarten through high school. This program provides an opportunity to create a variety of art in various media, including a theatrical program.

We offer fine art instruction in various media as well as creative arts classes. Residents and visitors from neighboring communities can discover their creative potential through participating in a class(es) that develops and improves their talents.

Throughout the year Tubac Center of the Arts participates in community-wide events to celebrate the cultural diversity of this geographic area. Examples are special events such as the annual Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) altar tour and parade, Luminaria Nights during the holiday season, and art walks throughout the village year-round.

During the summer, for year-round residents, we offer Cinema Summer in which we show classic and popular films at no cost.
