Community-Based Mentoring

Pairs adult volunteers with youth from single parent & low-income families. Both the youth & volunteer make a substantial time commitment, meeting 2-4 times per month for at least 1 year.  During the outings, filled with shared interests and activities, a high-quality bonding relationship develops.  The forged relationship is targeted at developing the “” – we help create a framework by which the mentor supports & guides the child as he/she grows, traversing childhood & adolescence. Master’s and Bachelor’s-prepared professional staff follow evidence-based, operating standards which provide outcomes-based results in , , and ;  which are reinforced through training.

Non-adult children

Reaches out to a more diverse population of children. It is designed to foster academic development as well as improve social skills and occurs in the child’s school setting.  The volunteer meets with the student on the school campus, once a week, during school hours (lunch time) for a minimum of one year.
