What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Feed The Needy
Our Feed the Needy program hires restaurants from Oakland and Franklin Lakes NJ to deliver food to Oasis in Paterson NJ or local food kitchens or non-profit organizations that serve food to those in need. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, our program helps our local restaurants stay in business while helping organizations that are struggling to feed their constituents. 100% of all donations are used to order food from the participating restaurants to help serve the needy.
Your donation is tax deductible and your generosity is appreciated.

Charity Horseshoe Tournament and BBQ
Annual charity horseshoe tournament and BBQ every September. The proceeds benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation, which supports our most severely injured veterans, defenders, and first responders.
The generosity of our supporters has allowed us to donate over $100,000 to benefit our heroes since this event started in 1998.
This is a single-elimination tournament, with two adults per team. This is first and foremost a charity fundraising event, there are no prizes, and players of all skill levels are welcome.
Please support our injured heroes by playing, attending, or by donating money, food, beverage, or gift.
The entry fee includes sausage sandwiches, deli sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, soda, water, tap beer, cash bar, a DJ, and more.
Your donation is tax deductible and your generosity is appreciated.

Annual Coat and Clothing Drive
Our annual Deacon Richard Mohr Coat Drive is held on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving at our hall in Oakland NJ.
Please donate pre-worn (not new) warm clothing such as coats, jackets, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, and sweaters to help St. John’s of Newark serve the many homeless in that area.
Your donation is tax deductible and your generosity is appreciated.

Several Sources Shelters collection drive
We run a collection drive at local stores and churches. 100% of all donations and goods go to the Several Sources Shelters. These shelters are beacons of hope for God's innocent preborn and their mothers. As free, safe havens for the abandoned, lost and suffering pregnant, they provide much needed hope and support.
Your donation is tax deductible and your generosity is appreciated.

Annual March for Life Project
The March for Life is the single largest annual gathering of pro-life advocates in the world. The event peacefully protests the human rights abuse of abortion and advocates a culture of life in the United States.
Every year, tens of thousands of pro-lifers converge on the National Mall and march on Capitol Hill on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling which legalized abortion in all 50 states.
Annual Lenten Fish Fry
We serve delicious Lenten Fish Fry dinners every Friday during Lent, including on Ash Wednesday. Open seating or just stop in to pick-up.
