Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We are working on having more of a presence in our county.
We would like to find more grants and/or have fundraising strategies to increase our revenue and work to be more of an influence in the county.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We are working on having more of a presence in our county by becoming a member of the Orange County Partnership, advertising in the Welcome Wagon to new families moving into Orange County, and recently presenting at the Orange County Chamber of Commerce Members on Monday.
We need to increase the number of child care providers and their hours to meet the needs of parents.
The Council is celebrating 45 years this year and we will be having a journal to help offset the costs of this event. We are planning some other items as well.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have monies to advertise and have staff to attend outreach events to recruit new providers and to give referrals to child care.
45th anniversary:
We will use some of our monies for professional development toward this event.
We will reach out to some of our longtime friends for financial support and selling journal ads.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We still need to develop fundraising strategies to increase revenue because we are flat funded and eventually will not be able to give staff raises.
