What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Science Camp at Panorama Vista Preserve
Volunteers teach youth how to respect the environment and make it a safe place for birds and other wild life to live. We have visual aides and a Reader's Theater. After general instruction students go to learning stations where they can explore. Topics include spotting scopes, owl pellets, binoculars, feathers, and environmental hazards .
Beginning Birder Workshop
Two Bird and Wildlife Specialists teach beginners of all ages how to identify birds by their beak, feet, habits, sound and location.
Students learn how to use binoculars, field guides, and spotting scopes.
School Outreach
Volunteers bring visual aides and birding tools to schools so students learn that Birds Matter in their lives. Children ages 9 - 12 learn how to protect and apprecie=ate birds.
Monthly Program
Experts focus on preservation and restoration of habitat, efforts to help wildlife thrive, current bird studies, and collaboration with a network of other environmental agencies and organizations.
