What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Scholarship Program
Established in 2008, our Scholarship Program provides financial aid to final-year students of British and Commonwealth heritage at Lehman and Hunter Colleges, part of the City University of New York. From low-income families, these students have achieved excellent academic standing but due to financial hardship, are unable to complete their final year of undergraduate studies.
Beneficiary Program
Our Beneficiary Program provides financial and quality-of-life support to disadvantaged seniors, protecting them from homelessness, poverty, isolation and neglect. Each year, the Society helps more than 100 people with housing assistance, home care expenses, medication, utility costs and other basic necessities. Furthermore, our social workers offer much-needed emotional support and counseling, ensuring that our beneficiaries are able to live out their lives with dignity and in the safety of their own homes.
The Weatherstone Families Support Fund
We provide practical and logistical support for families of children affected by pediatric cancer traveling from the UK for clinical trials and treatment in New York. From meeting them at the airport when they arrive to accompanying them to their first hospital consultation, we provide a much-needed support network while they are far from home during one of their most difficult life moments.
