What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Baby Bucks Program

This program is free to anyone who wishes to participate regardless of race, age, gender or income level. We offer a national award-winning education program called, "Earn While You Learn". It is a video-based series with question and answer sheets to help the clients track along with the info presented. Each client works with a client advocate. The advocate's job is to be a listening ear, match the client to the best community resources, customize their education program to meet their most immediate needs and help them develop a plan to prepare for parenting. We have classes covering every aspect of pregnancy from finding out you are pregnant to early childhood development. One series is focused entirely on fathers and their emotional needs in becoming a father. The participation is flexible and the students earn "Baby Bucks" for every lesson or homework assignment they complete. Homework assignments can include things such as creating a starter budget or filling out an emergency contact sheet for their child. "Baby Bucks" can be spent in-house on brand new baby items, diapers, cribs, baby furniture, food and formula that we offer at a fraction of the retail value. Our goal is to make sure the client's needs are met and make these resources accessible to them while also building a sense of accomplishment and responsibility with reward.
