What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

SUDS ( Servicemembers Undertaking Disabled Sports) has been in operation since 2007 and is supported by volunteers who help to make the organization continue to operate. Our growth is limited without the ability to have a dedicated staff to support the ongoing operation. In addition, SUDS operates solely from private donations and fundraising activities throughout the year. SUDS is actively seeking a corporate sponsor to support the sustainability and growth of the program. There are over 50,000 injured service members and we are only scratching the service with who we are able to help.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our goal is to continue to grow the program and offer more activities that will improve the lives of our nation's wounded, injured, and ill service members. SUDS's goal is to continue to train the warriors in challenging and rewarding sports activities that help facilitate their rehabilitation and promote mobility. The goal of SUDS is to offer sports activities that not only can aid in their recovery during rehabilitation but also that they can enjoy throughout their life.

We are offering other adventure sports outside of diving in order to reach more veterans. We have expanded the program to include rock climbing, mountain biking, whitewater sports, backpacking, fishing canyoneering and snow skiing. Our plan is to obtain referrals from this who have already participated in our past programs . We plan to have minimum of two trip per month every month.
