Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

• We are continuing to do volunteer development and increase our internship program.
• We are adding two more Board members this year and for the first time our Board will be full. There are busy planning all kinds of fun-raising programs.
• We have made partnerships with many of the vendors at Mile High Flea Market and have almost become more of a wholesaler to the local venders there at the flea market. They now come to us and purchase all items so we no longer have to go to the flea market. So we have decreased our rental expenses by almost $500.00 per month and all of that is now profit. We are averaging about $1000 per month currently.
• Lastly, we have become so busy on donation pick up day that we are now picking up every Thursday. Increasing our products and ultimately increasing our sales and profit.
* We need to add additional housing ASAP, our demand exceeds our ability to supply currently.

Our program goals are to give victims of domestic violence, children and family pets a safe alternative living environment which we provide through our emergency shelter. Another goal is for victims of domestic violence to break the cycle of abuse by receiving counseling services and job skills training to promote self-sufficiency. A tertiary goal is for the community to become aware of the prevalence, serious effects, incidences and consequences of domestic violence. The goals of Arising Hope reflect our passion and commitment to offer hope and healing to victims of domestic violence by providing a safe place of love and empowerment and to educate the community.
To accomplish our goals, victims receive shelter, food, clothing, personal hygiene, basic medical supplies, counseling and job skills training in our emergency shelter at no cost. The shelter is located in a residential neighborhood in Brighton, CO and is a two story home with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Arising Hope has assessments and measures in place to tract the continued growth of our clients. we are also very diligent to work with local, State, Federal, Foundation, Corporate and our local Communities to ensure awareness, funding and positive success for our future sustainability.

Arising Hope provides a safe place of love, healing and empowerment to survivors of domestic violence. We give safe emergency shelter and housing; as well as, many other resources and services that assist survivors, their children and their domestic pets into a life free from fear and abuse. Arising Hope also provides educational presentations about the impact of domestic violence on the community.

Although Arising Hope is a shelter that is dedicated to keeping each home as minimum capacity (5 individuals), we are in firm belief that the individuals need surroundings that will benefit their health. Keeping the shelters at a low case load helps the clients receive the care they need and a relaxed environment for them to prepare for long term housing.
