Mission

An organization of women providing growth, leadership and development programs for women of color, scholarships to deserving high school students, annual donations to community outreach support organizations, a local youth club for boys and girls ages 6-17, partnership with local organizations for educational events, and operation of the Charlotte S. Rhone Cultural Center - formerly the Historic West Street Colored Library in New Bern built in 1947. Climbers Climb is an affiliate of the North Carolina Federation of Colored Women's and Youth Clubs and the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc.

Awarded scholarships to local high school senior and to senior students through affiliates North Carolina Federation of Colored Women's district and statewide program and through the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs.

Provided a Covid-19 Healing, Restoration and Renewal videographed interview project featuring local student interviewers and local senior citizens. The purpose was to help the local Black community heal through sharing experiences of youth and elderly people. The videographed production was presented locally and may be shown as needed for community awareness and continued healing.

Provided community outreach assistance through donations of funds and/or goods to The Crystal Coast Autism Center, to residents at Golden Heights Assisted Living Facility, to residents at Coastal Women's Shelter and to Tried By Fire, Inc - a home for women returning from correctional institutions.
