What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The issue of underserved youth lacking character development and basic necessities is a pressing societal concern affecting countless young individuals' well-being and future prospects. This multifaceted problem stems from a combination of economic, social, and systemic factors that disproportionately impact vulnerable communities. Character development encompasses the cultivation of ethical values, life skills, and emotional resilience. Underserved youth often face limited access to quality education, mentorship, and extracurricular activities that foster these essential traits. This can lead to a lack of self-confidence, decision-making abilities, and problem-solving skills, hindering their personal growth and potential for success.

Technology and Threads Program

The Technology and Threads program is dedicated to breaking down barriers and enhancing the educational journey of underserved youth. By providing essential access to technology and clothing, the program aims to empower these students with the tools they need to succeed academically and personally.

Key Features:

1. Technology Access: The program recognizes the importance of technology in education. It equips underserved youth with laptops, tablets, and internet connectivity, ensuring they can access online learning resources, complete assignments, and engage effectively in the digital learning landscape.

2. Clothing for Success: The program understands that clothing is more than just attire – it's a source of confidence. By providing appropriate school clothing, the program helps students feel their best, ready to focus on their studies and social interactions.

Our partnership with Be Rose International Foundation aims to transform primary education for Sierra Leone youth. Recognizing the challenges faced by the education system in Sierra Leone due to limited resources, infrastructure, and socio-economic conditions, our collaboration focuses on creating sustainable and impactful solutions.

Through a comprehensive needs assessment, we have identified key areas for intervention. Our primary education programs are thoughtfully designed to align with local needs and cultural sensitivities. We work closely with local educators and community leaders to ensure our initiatives are well-received and effective.

The heart of our efforts lies in capacity building. We provide essential training for local teachers, empowering them with modern teaching methodologies and resources. Additionally, we strive to enhance educational infrastructure, making learning environments more conducive to grow.
