The objective of this program is to improve the environment for NJBACC staff, volunteers and sheltered pets. We donated a mobile unit to support care, transport, adoption and education events to the Care Center. Additional we funded $13,000.00 of medical equipment to bring the Surgical Clinic to full operations.

Improve the health of shelter pets, increase adoption rates, reduce number of pets in shelters, and achieve responsible pet ownership.

Provide funding and support for emergency medical care, rabies vaccinations clinics, spay/neuter clinics, and shelter improvements.

Friends of the S.V. Animal Shelter has a strong and involved Board of Directors, close relationship with Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center and City of Sierra Vista leadership, and community partners, and proven fundraising capabilities.

Gifted an animal mobile unit was gifted to the City of Sierra Vista to support adoption events, no-cost rabies clinics, and other events.

Funded low cost Spay /Neuter services provided to 400 pets. cost to the owner is $20.00 per pet.

Rabies vaccinations/medical exam/microchips/City dog licenses provided to 302 pets. Since 2015 this program has provided services to over 1500 pets.

Medical care/emergency care provided to over 300 pets.

Friends received a grant from the Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona to help offset the cost of rabies vaccinations for the Animal Control Officers (ACO) from Huachuca City and Bisbee. The Cities provided funds and combined with the grant funds, the ACOs from these Cities are now protected from rabies as they execute their duties protecting the citizens of their communities.

Provided $13,000.00 for medical equipment to support the Surgical Clinic additional at the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center to support on site care of pets so pets don't have to be transported to local vet clinics.
