What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Child Sponsorship

Currently a monthly donation of at least $37.00 will cover all education, nutrition and spiritual needs for that child. That means for about $1.25 a day each child will be able to have a possibility of a better future, they will wake up each day with the realization they now have a chance to make a difference. We have spoken to some of the kids and they say things like they “before didn’t know what they would do each day, they did not know if their parents had enough money to send them to school and feed the family”. All these kids knew before was that every day was one day closer to them working the trade of their parents, now they wake up each day and know their possibilities are endless. The girls especially are at risk, it is very common for a young Haitian girl to get pregnant, whether that is from consensual sex or not. They know that is their best chance at a life, if they are pregnant they may have the chance to be taken care of. We need to put a stop to this, we need to act. If a child believes they have a chance, if they have hope, they will thrive and grasp that opportunity. But, if they do not have hope for a better future they will give up, move on to what they have seen since they were born.
