Mission

FoodFight's mission is to revolutionize the way we eat and think about food. Using schools as a platform, FoodFight arms teachers, students and school staff with the tools and knowledge they need to make healthier choices and become role models and agents of change for their families and communities.

Our workshops and curricula emphasize not only nutrition education but also concepts of food marketing, food politics and critical consumership. Our goal is to empower teachers, students and school staff to recognize their power as consumers, make healthier eating and buying decisions and demand healthier options for themselves and their communities. We believe that education is a critical element in effecting lasting change in our nation's food culture, and that students and their teachers can and should be at the forefront of this campaign, leading us toward a more healthful and sustainable future.
