What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Pediatric Angel Network and The PAN Project
Pediatric Angel Network has two major components to the organization.(1) Provides financial and material assistance to families of children with a long term illness or disability. Families may be experiencing difficulty due to expenses not covered by insurance but necessary for the care of their child. This may include: medications, equipment, medical and household supplies, utility bills due to equipment usage, etc. . Pediatric Angel Network may even be able to assist with an uncovered operation. (2) We have formed a youth mentoring program with local high schools and universities enabling students to partner with special needs children. Through this partnership, the student will gain community service credit and the child will gain a friend that will engage them in activities and play appropriate for the childs medical condition. Student volunteers are trained in CPR by a professional instructor and an introduction to pediatric special needs and childhood illness is given.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
1. Provide financial and material assistance to families experiencing a hardship in the care of a medically fragile or sick child which insurance will not cover but is necessary in the child's care.
2. Increase donor base through increased awareness of the organizations mission and needs.
3. Increase community awareness of the need for inclusiveness of the disabled or chronically ill child in activities which promote play, joy and promote optimal health.
4. Promote wellness in special needs children and children with a long term illness.
5. Establish/expand on our Youth Mentoring Program
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Increased fundraising through volunteer based events during the year.
Increased grant writing proposals to corporations aligned with our organizations missions and goals
Continue to provide community based events which allow the disabled child to participate in a fun and engaging manner.
Expand partnership with local colleges and high schools which enable a student to partner with a special needs child. Through this partnership, the student gains community service credit and the child gains a friend that will engage them in play and activities appropriate for their medical condition.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Pediatric Angel Network thoroughly reviews all requests for assistance in order to maximize our ability to provide relative grants and material assistance. The board members are actively engaged and collectively have extensive medical knowledge and experience with the medically compromised child as well as the difficulties families may incur in the child's care. Public awareness will be multifactorial. PAN's website has already received requests for assistance as well as word of mouth through the volunteers who live and work in our communities. These connections have increased our generation of funds and medical supplies.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
PAN continues to review requests as they are submitted and attempts to respond in a timely manner to the family due to crisis situations. PAN will accept applications from families in accordance to the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD) The only criteria PAN will use is that of financial hardship being suffered by a family of a special needs child or a child with a long term illness and the direct costs associated. PAN continues to host the PAN Classic every year (USATF race) in order to offer the disabled child a race they can participate in from their wheelchair as well as raise funds to assist families during their hardship and to let them know they no longer have to carry a burden alone.
