What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Rescue
We believe that Gentle Spirit Horses Rescue is a very unique part of the greater Sioux Falls area. Though there are other horse rescues in the area, Gentle Spirit Horses has a much larger reach and variety to which it caters to the Sioux Falls area. GSH focuses primarily on local horses and helping people who are going through a hard time and need help with their horses. We are working with the Animal Industry Board to become a resource for SD Sheriffs in the case of seizures, and working to increase knowledge and education about proper care of horses in our community

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goals and our mission is the same: to provide assistance to neglected, abused and unwanted horses, and through outreach and education, promote responsible horse ownership.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We use a combination of social media and hands on events to help promote the rescue and it's goals as well as educate the community about horses and our rescue. We have also started an equine internship program to help promote education about the equine industries and rescues in general. We also encourage volunteers to come down and learn about the horses.
